Policy & Transparency

Your Data, Your Trust. No Compromises.

In the gaming world, trust is the ultimate currency. Whether you're building the next indie hit or troubleshooting a tournament rig, you need to know your tools respect your privacy. This document outlines exactly how Brandaxo collects, uses, and protects your information—because transparency is non‑negotiable.

Our Privacy Philosophy

Brandaxo operates on a principle of data minimization. We collect only what is strictly necessary to deliver and improve our services, and we never sell your personal information to third parties. For game developers, our tools prioritize local processing, keeping your project data on your machine unless you explicitly choose to share it for collaboration.

For our community members and players, this means you control your engagement. Newsletter signups are opt-in, account creation is optional for most site functions, and you can request data deletion at any time. Our compliance framework is built on GDPR principles, with additional safeguards for user-generated content and payment data.

1 Scenario: The Modder's Dilemma

"I was tweaking a physics mod for Elden Ring and needed to document my setup for a forum post. Brandaxo’s data export tool let me generate a clean, anonymized log file—just the engine variables, no personal IDs. I shared the log publicly without exposing my Steam credentials or system details."

2 Constraint: Limited Budget

Indie devs on tight budgets can't afford GDPR lawyers. We provide pre-baked, customizable privacy policy templates compatible with our tools and platforms like Steam. These aren't legal advice, but a practical starting point that respects user data by design.

Privacy vs. Functionality: Key Trade-Offs

DOWNSIDE

Higher Security

  • Downside: MFA (Multi-Factor Auth) adds a step to login. Can be frustrating if you're switching devices frequently for live streaming setup checks.
  • Mitigation: We support app-based authenticators (not SMS) for zero-cost security. You can also generate and securely store backup codes for emergency access.
DOWNSIDE

Localized Storage

  • Downside: By default, game configs are stored on your local machine. If your hardware fails without a backup, you lose your custom keybinds and settings.
  • Mitigation: We provide an optional, encrypted cloud sync service for configs. You can also export/import settings as JSON files with a single click.
